Acer uses Insyde services for its Snapdragon based Spin 7 notebook

Insyde Software announced Acer has used Insyde’s expertise in platform design, development, integration, along with its experience for its Acer Spin 7 notebook with Snapdragon 8cx Gen 1. Acer Spin 7 is the world’s first notebook with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform.

Insyde said it has provided to Acer full Setup utility, hotkey services during POST, flexible initialization of peripheral devices, a custom BIOS interface for external component communication, assistance in adapting traditional x86 production processes for the ARM-based platform, and more.

Acer Spin 7 is a convertible notebook design with a 360 degree hinge, dock-able Wacom AES 1.0 pen, multi-day (up to 29 hour) battery life, and fast 5G connectivity.
