IT services growth in 2012 is dimmer than 2011, as per Gartner

The worldwide growth for IT Services in 2012 is only 2% compared to 7.7% in 2011, The top five Indian IT services also shown similar trend whose growth in 2012 in 13.3% where as in 2011 it was 21.8%, as per latest study by Gartner.
Cognizant has grown by 20.1% in 2012 to become 2nd biggest India IT service company, Infosys has dropped to 3rd place in 2012.
Gartner release states "The growth rate of India-based providers has been slowing for some years, but in 2012 this trend was more pronounced. This growth rate is still quite high compared with the IT services worldwide, or the growth of the top 10 global IT services providers. The global top 10 providers are larger in their base revenue and more diversified than the India-based providers."
