QuickLogic is the latest semiconductor partner of CyWeeMotion to help and support QuickLogic's customers in interfacing motion sensors with its programmable logic based sensor processing chips. The Taiwan based CyWeeMotion designs an interface between processor and the sensors. By using CyWeeMotion technology the motion sensing can always be detected without the main processor being active. CyWeeMotion has also partnered with other processor-chip manufacturers who are targeting sensor interface part of smartphone market.
CyWeeMotion adds special gesture and other advanced algorithms including Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR).
"QuickLogic's EOS S3 platform features an exceptional set of hardware options which allowed us to easily implement our advanced suite of smartphone algorithms," said Max Lin, VP of sales at CyWeeMotion. "Our combined solution provides end users with a natural experience and long battery life."
"CyWeeMotion's algorithms deliver motion and gesture support with full Android compliance to smartphone OEMs worldwide," said Bob Schoenfield, VP of worldwide sales and marketing at QuickLogic Corporation. "They are particularly well known by OEMs in China, and we look forward to offering our combined motion and integrated voice solution to the market."
