TI MCU design contest winners

Texas Instruments India has announced winners of its MCU design contest.

The winners are:

1st Prize: Dnyandeep Buwa and Suhas Jain from Maven Systems Pvt. Ltd. won a prize of US$ 15,000 for their innovative project titled "Wireless Security Hub".

2nd Prize: Eltech Electrodesigns won the second prize for their project titled "High Frequency Bidirectional Sine Wave Home Inverter".

3rd prize: Shared by students from Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology for their projects titled 'SEGWAY' and GreenOcean for the project titled "Medtronic SwissKnife".

"India continues to excite us with its passion to innovate and develop superior technology. The participants of this contest showcased remarkable creativity and talent. This contest reiterates our confidence in the great pool of talent within India. The innovation and diversity of the projects that were demonstrated is impressive", said Brian Crutcher, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Embedded Processing, Texas Instruments Incorporated.

The contest took place in three phases. The first phase saw a participation of over 1200 entries. In the second phase, 120 project ideas were selected and in the third phase with 14 project ideas from across the country that were showcased at the Texas Instruments (India) Pvt. Ltd campus in Bangalore on May 25th, 2012.
