Intrinsyc's Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 with CerfBoard 270 reference designs

Intrinsyc has made available of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Release3 for the CerfBoard 270 reference designs. The new software leverage the latest Microsoft Windows technologies, including Silverlight for Windows Embedded and touch/gesture input, to create rich applications and user interfaces. This reference design is suitable for Embedded and Handheld devices.

"The new CerfBoard software options support our recently announced strategy to develop solutions based on the next generation of Windows Embedded CE 6.0," said David Manuel, Vice President and General Manager of Device Development Solutions, Intrinsyc. "Customer demand for CerfBoards remains brisk because developers gain real benefits from starting with an integrated hardware and software platform. Device developers can not only prototype faster and reduce overall time to market, but they can also focus on value-added application development and product differentiation."

The CerfBoard 270 reference design is based on the Marvell PXA270 applications processor and incorporates SD/MMC, 2 CompactFlash connectors that can be used to add Bluetooth, Wireless WAN support, or additional memory. With the flexibility of an optional LCD display, CerfBoard 270 makes an ideal base kit wide range of designs. CerfBoard 270 is available with Windows Embedded CE 5.0, Windows Embedded CE 6.0, or Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3.
