New version of IO Libraries suite software for PXI instruments from Agilent

Agilent Technologies Inc. has released a new version of its IO Libraries Suite software for test instrument connectivity and control. Release 16.1 adds additional support for PXI and AXIe instruments and delivers an improved user experience, making it faster and easier to connect to instruments from a wide range of vendors.

"Agilent listens to customers and delivers the right features and capabilities to support the newest instruments," said Bob Witte, vice president, Agilent's Technology Leadership Organization. "This update to the IO Libraries Suite gives users access to the latest PXI instruments, including the M9216A High-Voltage Data Acquisition Module and the M8190A Arbitrary Waveform Generator, which runs on an AXIe modular system."

Agilent's IO Libraries Suite 16.1 makes connecting to instruments fast, easy and reliable with these enhancements:
Expanded operating system support and improved PXI and HiSLIP (high-speed LAN instrument protocol) functionality.
Automatic detection and configuration of the instrument interface connected to the PC.
Broad, multivendor compatibility with GPIB, USB, LAN, RS-232, VXI, PXI, and AXIe test instruments.
A wide set of development environments, including Agilent VEE Pro, MATLAB, Microsoft Visual Studio, and NI LabVIEW, among others.

Customers may download the Agilent IO Libraries Suite or order a free CD at www.agilent.com/find/iosuite.
